Wiring & Connections

  • Connect the Bosch O₂ sensor to the controller using the provided 6-pin cable.
  • Connect 12V and GND to both the controller and AFR display.
  • Connect the Digital Output (Pin 2) from the controller to the AFR display input.
0-5V Analogue output
  • Outputs AFR between 7.35 and 22.39 AFR.
  • Conversion formula:

AFR = (V × 15.04 / 5) + 7.35

  • Compatible with most aftermarket wideband gauges and ECUs.
  • For ECU setup, select “Innovate LC1 Default” calibration.

During initial warm-up, the controller alternates readings (10–15 AFR for 4.9, 10–20 AFR for ADV) — a visual check to confirm calibration accuracy.

Digital output

  • Works exclusively with the LD Performance AFR Display for 100% accurate digital AFR readings.
  • The display automatically recognizes whether it’s receiving an analog or digital signal.

0-1V Narrowband output

  • The 0–5V wideband output can be reconfigured to 0–1V narrowband mode.
  • To switch modes: ground the signal wire and power the controller for 3 seconds.
  • Repeat to revert to 0–5V mode.

Sensor Calibration

No manual calibration required — the controller automatically detects and calibrates Bosch 4.9 or ADV sensors during setup.

Switching Between 4.9 and ADV Sensors

To change sensor type:

  1. Connect both the 0–5V Output and Digital Output wires to ground.
  2. Power on for 3 seconds, then turn off.
  3. On restart, the display will briefly show “4.9” or “ADV”.

How will I know if the controller is configured for 4.9 or ADV sensor?

When you power on the controller, the display will briefly show “4.9” or “ADV” to indicate which sensor type is active.

During warm-up, the analog output will alternate readings — 10–15 AFR for the 4.9 sensor or 10–20 AFR for the ADV sensor — confirming the selected configuration.

Smart Warm-up Function

Aftermarket wideband sensors often fail prematurely due to incorrect heating when the exhaust is cold.
The LD Performance Smart Warm-Up system solves this by delaying full heat-up until the exhaust reaches a safe temperature, protecting the sensor from thermal shock.

✅ Monitors exhaust and sensor temperature
✅ Delays full warm-up for 2–7 minutes after cold start
✅ Extends sensor lifespan significantly

It’s a feature every OEM includes — but aftermarket widebands leave out.

Activation:

  1. Connect the digital output wire to ground.
  2. Power on for 3 seconds.
  3. Display shows --- when waiting for exhaust heat, or H-- when Smart Warm-Up is disabled.

Smart Warm-Up is off by default. Repeat the same procedure to toggle it on or off.

Why choose LD Performance Wideband Controller

Unlike generic controllers, this unit integrates the Bosch CJ125 chip — the same component used in OEM systems — to achieve faster response times, stable readings, and unmatched reliability.
It’s also the only aftermarket controller featuring a Smart Warm-Up system, ensuring your lambda sensor lasts longer under all conditions.
