Description
Overview
Compact, powerful, and easy to configure — the LD performance Racing Dash 2 gives you instant access to vital engine data through direct sensor input or ECU connection. Set your own warning thresholds, rearrange displayed parameters, and fine-tune your setup using the included configuration software.Features
- Displays 7 engine parameters simultaneously
- Large, sunlight-readable display
- LED bar RPM shift-light at the top
- Configurable warnings for every parameter
- Works with most standalone ECUs
- Supports EGT, temperature, and pressure sensors
- Simple wiring and intuitive software configuration
- Dimensions: 6.9” × 3.9” × 0.8”
Wiring
Connect:
- 12V (ignition-ON) and ground wires to the device
- CAN wires (CANH and CANL) OR serial port cable to ECU
- Any optional sensors as per wiring diagram (if necessary)
- Use the Configuration Software to amend positions or set warning thresholds
Connection options
The Dash2 connects directly to your ECU via CAN bus or the supplied serial cable, and can also read data directly from sensors.
LDperformance Race Dash 2 can display the following parameters:
Additional parameters can be displayed too if the right sensors are connected. When running standalone mode, or in addition to ECU data, the Racing Dash 2 supports:
DATA from ECU
- RPM
- Boost
- AFR
- Throttle position (TPS)
- Coolant temperature
- Air temperature
- Injector pulse width / duty cycle
- Ignition timing
- Battery voltage
- Oil pressure
- Fuel pressure
- Oil temperature
- Vehicle speed (mph or kph)
- Gear position
DATA from EXTERNAL SENSORS
- AFR — 0–5V input (compatible with LD Performance Wideband and most wideband controllers)
- RPM — via tachometer or ignition signal
- Coolant / Air / Oil temperature — 1/8” NPT sensors available
- Oil / Fuel pressure — 1/8” NPT up to 150 psi (10 bar)
- EGT — exhaust gas temperature via thermocouple probe
- GPS speed — optional GPS module displays mph or kph
- Battery voltage and device temperature
- External signal duty cycle and pulse timing
Pinout
Hardware & Function
RPM
Reads RPM from the tachometer signal, ECU output, or ignition coil/injector signal wire.
Temperature
Three temperature inputs available: coolant, air, and oil — all identical and compatible with LD Performance temperature sensors.
Pressure
Three pressure inputs: oil, fuel, and boost — compatible with LD Performance 3-wire pressure sensors (up to 150 psi).
Serial port
Included harness connects via serial cable for ECU communication or PC setup.
Note: The serial port also connects the GPS module — both cannot be used at the same time.
CAN BUS
Directly connects to most standalone ECUs for real-time data streaming.
GPS
An optional GPS module is available on our website. It connects through the serial cable to display vehicle speed in mph or kph. The old type gps module is connected like this:
EGT
Connect an EGT probe directly to measure exhaust gas temperature (polarity matters — reversed wires will not read correctly).
AFR
0–5V input corresponds to 7.4–22.5 AFR, compatible with most wideband systems.
